ACVBM 2020 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 2020 ACVBM Annual Conference will be held in Eugene, Oregon at the Hotel Eugene on October 26th 2020, in conjunction with the VBMA Annual Meeting/Ecotour during the Mushroom Festival. Tentative schedule is as follows:

 

Sunday, October 25th:  Mount Pisagah Arboretum Mushroom Festival

Monday, October 26th: VBMA Conference Day, featuring lectures by Kevin Spelman RH (AHG) and Subhuti Dharmananda, Ph.D.

Tuesday, October 27th:  ACVBM Conference Day, featuring Medical Herbalist Chanchal Cabrera as our speaker.

Thursday, October 28th - Friday October 30th: VBMA Ecotour at Belknap Hot Springs in McKenzie Bridge, Oregon, located approximately an hour away from Eugene. You can bring a dog, camp in a tent or RV, rent a lodge room, a cabin or a house!

 

PRICING:

VBMA Conference Day only:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $180.00, Non-Member -  $220.00.

ACVBM Conference Day only:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $180.00, Non-Member - $220.00.

ACVBM and VBMA Conference Days:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $350.00, Non-Member - $440.00.

EcoTour Only:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $180.00, Non-Member - $220.00.

ACVBM Conference Day and EcoTour:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $360.00, Non-Member - $440.00.

VBMA Conference Day and EcoTour:  VBMA/ACVBM Member - $360.00, Non-Member -  $440.00.

ACVBM and VBMA Conference Days and EcoTour: VBMA/ACVBM Member - $530.00, Non-Member - $660.00.

Membership in the ACVBM is currently limited to our organizing committee, which consists of leaders, speakers, educators and authors in the  Veterinary Botanical Medicine field who were invited to become the very first members of the ACVBM.

CANCELLATION POLICY/REFUNDS:

Full refund less $20 for administrative fees through 8/15/20.

75% refund from 8/16/20 through 9/30/20.

NO refunds will be issued after 9/30/20.

 

LODGING:

Lodging for all events is on-your-own...you may book a room at the Hotel Eugene for the conferences by calling their reservations line at 413-821-3144 and referring to booking code ACVBM1020. The rate is $139/night. If you prefer, you may stay elsewhere nearby in Eugene  and for the EcoTour you have the option of camping in a tent, staying in your RV, or renting a lodge room, cabin or house at Belknap Hot Springs.

 

MEALS/SNACKS:

Conference costs will include break-time coffee Monday and Tuesday, as well as dinner on Monday night only. Lunch will be on-your-own for both days. Breakfast and lunch will be included for the EcoTour, dinner will be on-your-own.

 

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation for all events is on-your-own...you are responsible for all travel costs to Eugene, from Eugene to Belknap, and your trip back home. Feel free to connect with other attendees to save costs, however.

 

ECOTOUR NOTE:

Priority will be given to VBMA/ACVBM members for the EcoTour due to space limitations. VBMA/ACVBM family members may attend the EcoTour, but must pay for the full program at member rates whether or not they will be attending all events. There are no age restrictions for the herbwalk(s) during the EcoTour, but all attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward each other and their surroundings.
