Leslie McIntyre, DVM, DACVIM CVA, CCRT, CAC, CTCVM
I am a clinical herbalist that was certified in 2007 at the Chi Institute.  I practice herbal medicine on 80% of my predominantly canine clients.  I focus on making custom herbal blends as well as formulas from Jing Tang, Golden Flower, ITM, Natural Path, Evergreen, and KPC.  I treat orthopedics, cancer, seizures, organ failures, behavioural problems, and allergies.  I have taught at the university level just not herbs so I look forward to helping future herbalists in training.

Kendra Pope, DVM, DACVIM, CVA, CVTP, CVFT, CVCH, TCVMP, RH(AGH) FACVBM
Dr. Pope is a board certified veterinary oncologist with extensive training in herbal medicine. She has completed all Chi Institute Chinese herbal training and received a certificate as a Certified Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. In addition, she completed David Winston's 2 year program as well as both advanced graduate courses. Her application for Registered Herbalist will be submitted in 2024, and her Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine is pending.

The area of oncology is such a large facet of herbal medicine use. Having mentorship that is able to combine both traditional practices with evidence informed, research backed data will be paramount to not only advance herbal medicine but to prove to our conventional colleagues the legitimacy of this area of practice as mainstream.
